strong florals . . .

Bright colours on dark backgrounds - that's what I've been crazy about lately. The strong contrast and the gentle object... an unlikely couple that is so good together. Florals - two before bed, and one in the morning - for the happy eyes and healthy spirit:).

These are a few of my favourite things from last week.

my PANTONE COLORS children's book . . .

How happy was I when they asked me to illustrate this book? VERY! I've been a big fan of PANTONE® colour system ever since 1998 when I have purchased my first colour book for a design course in college.

The book introduces kids to 9 colours (20 shades of each). If you are raising a little designer or a little colour lover - I know they'll love it!

Nice, Round 35 . . .

Today is my birthday. I don't understand what happens to time when you get older. It just evaporates. Didn't I just have a birthday? When do I start feeling older and acting it? Never... I hope:)

The illustration is inspired by the chalk drawings my girls made last weekend on the dark pavement. Too bad the rain took care of them before I had a chance to take a pic.

Bird Song . . .

An eye-full of my (signature) toomuchery of a pattern. Sometimes, when you have too much 'crazy' inside - you just got to let some of it out.

Hello April . . .

April is here. Showers are here. Rained all day today. I love April.
